Canadian School Apologizes to Muslims for Pejorative Article

TEHRAN The authorities of a famous Canadian law school affiliated to York University in Toronto have apologized to Muslims for an un-Islamic and pejorative article that was recently published by a student journal of their school, the *** National Post *** daily reported last Wednesday.
According to the daily, the article had tried to portray Islam as a religion with a suppressive and reactionary attitude.
The school authorities said that they would take due disciplinary measures against the writer of the article and make further investigations into this incident.
The article drew a large number of complaints and protests from Muslims living in North America. One of the school authorities, Peter W. Hawke, said that he was ashamed of the publication of the article.
